Great spotted woodpecker nest

Yesterday I was walking around the woods next to my house when I heard a loud cheeping noise coming from a hole in a tree!

I sat watching the hole for around half an hour before I noticed a female and male Great spotted woodpecker flying around the tree! After sitting for a bit longer, the parents went in to feed!

I will go back soon to get better footage!

I have found the nest of the pair of Great spotted woodpeckers that visit my garden daily!!!
