Whilst wandering around the flower beds in search for bees and butterflies I found this beautiful pink bug! After some research I found out it is called Dolycoris baccarum, the sloe bug. It is a species of shield bug and they are around 11-12mm long!

I loved photographing this little bug because the colours go so perfectly! The pink on the bug and flower and the green on the bug and background!

I used my Nikon D90 camera and Sigma 105mm macro lens to get these shots!


Beautiful colours as you say and such wonderful camouflage .. you did so well to spot it at all !
