Pink shield bug

Whilst wandering around the flower beds in search for bees and butterflies I found this beautiful pink bug! After some research I found out it is called Dolycoris baccarum, the sloe bug. It is a species of shield bug and they are around 11-12mm long!

I loved photographing this little bug because the colours go so perfectly! The pink on the bug and flower and the green on the bug and background!

I used my Nikon D90 camera and Sigma 105mm macro lens to get these shots!
