International Dawn Chorus Day

Today is International Dawn Chorus Day! I was up at 4 this morning ready to listen to the bird song at the crack of dawn!

I walked through woodland, farmland and through lots of fields and everything was singing!

I heard: Robins, the majority of the tit species, Blackcaps, Pheasants, Woodpigeons, Collared Doves, Chaffinches, Wrens and many more! The list is just too long!

I recently purchased the app ChirpOMatic which helps you to identify bird songs and calls! If you take a recording of a bird, it will identify it! Here are some of my recordings!

Chiffchaff

Long-tailed tit
House Sparrows
Blackbird
